Grace’s Senior Session: A Celebration of Her UNCW Journey

As a photographer, one of my greatest joys is capturing the unique spirit, personality, and passions of my senior clients—especially when they’re stepping into such a meaningful milestone. Grace's senior photo session was exactly that kind of experience. She's graduating from UNCW this spring, and like so many proud college grads, she wanted to celebrate not just the accomplishment, but the journey.

We started right where her story began—on the campus of UNCW. Grace wanted photos that captured the feeling of her time at the university, so we hit all the iconic spots: the campus pillars, the Seahawk statue, the water fountain, and those signature brick paths she’s walked countless times. It wasn’t just about pictures—it was about remembering the late-night study sessions, the friendships, the challenges, and the growth.

In Grace’s words: “I wanted to encapsulate my college journey in this photoshoot and Jeff really brought my visions to life.”

After exploring campus, we made our way to downtown Wilmington and stopped at the famous One Tree Hill bridge. For Grace, and so many young women like her, this was more than just a photo op—it was a connection to a show that’s helped shape a generation. We laughed, we recreated iconic poses, and she absolutely owned the moment.

We ended the evening where Grace finds peace—Wrightsville Beach. It’s one of her favorite places to unwind, and even though the sky was a bit cloudier than usual, the soft, filtered light gave her portraits a quiet, dreamy feel. The sunset never fully broke through—but that didn’t stop us from capturing images full of warmth, emotion, and authenticity. These are the kind of photos that don’t just show what someone looks like—they show who they are.
